The Breast Event of The Tri-Cities

PORT MOODY, British Columbia - May 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Port Moody– May 14, 2013 - On June 15, 2013 in support of Rethink Breast Cancer, along with our host Greg Harper from Breakfast Television hundreds of women will converge upon the Inlet Theatre in Port Moody in the name of breast cancer education and awareness.  Presented by TELUS - The Breast Event of The Tri-Cities is a daylong conference featuring Dr. Carolyn Gotay PhD (http://www.spph.ubc.ca/?p2=/modules/hce/faculties/faculty.jsp&fId=22), Dr Divi Chandna MD (http://www.drdivi.com/about-dr-divi/), and Dr. Sharon Gurm ND (http://www.portmoodynaturopathic.com/about-us/staff/dr-sharon-gurm-nd/) – three doctors who will share their specialized knowledge about breast health.

One hundred percent of the net profit raised through this event will be donated directly to Rethink Breast Cancer (http://rethinkbreastcancer.com/), the first-ever, Canadian breast cancer charity to bring bold, relevant awareness to the under-40 crowd, and to respond to the unique needs of young (or youngish) women going through breast cancer.

Breast Cancer is the second leading cause of death in Canadian women: Each week, an average of 434 women are diagnosed with the disease, and is now the most common cancer in women over the age of twenty.
