Follow on Google News | Silko Honda Will Begin Selling the All-Electric Honda Fit EVThe Honda Fit is able to travel 82 miles on a single charge and requires no gasoline to drive.
By: Silko Honda In less than three hours, the Fit EV's onboard 92 kilowatt high-density coaxial battery can be charged right from the driver’s garage. On a full charge, the EPA estimates the electric Fit can travel an average of 82 miles, though different driver’s mileage will vary depending on their driving style. This is much more than most people's daily commute, making the Fit EV a perfect option for commuting and urban living. Since it is significantly cheaper to go 82 miles on an electrical charge than it is to go on gasoline, the Fit EV is helping drivers to save tremendously on their annual fuel costs. An onboard navigation system comes standard, so it's easy to plan routes and get home without running through the electrical charge. To maximize the Honda Fit EV's efficiency, drivers can activate the ECON mode, allowing them to go farther on the battery. When performance is needed, a Sport mode can be activated, giving the necessary boost to pass in traffic or get up to highway speed. Thanks to its battery powered motor, the Honda car has quite a bit of power behind it. Whereas the standard, gasoline-powered Fit gets an estimated 106 lb-ft of torque, the Fit EV has an impressive 189 lb-ft of torque. A navigation system is one of a full suite of modern features that comes standard on the Fit EV. Other features include Bluetooth connectivity for handsfree calling, illuminated steering wheel-mounted controls for Bluetooth and audio, auxiliary audio input jack, a rearview camera for backing up, and heated front seats.
