By: U.S. Practical Shooting Association More than 500 of the country’s best revolver shooters came to Barry to compete in two separate USPSA national championship competitions. The matches included the Single-Stack Division National Championships and the Revolver Division National Championships. Hosted at the PASA Park, shooters competed for national titles in USPSA’s two classic divisions – single stack and revolver. The top winners included Jerry Miculek, Rob Leatham and Matt Griffin in the Revolver Division. Rob Leatham also took the top title in the Single Stack Division, along with Dave Sevigny and Shannon Smith. “We’re excited to announce the inaugural ‘Classic Nationals,’” said USPSA President Phil Strader “This dual championship competition is dedicated to the two divisions that started it all – single stack and revolver.” USPSA is the national governing body for the sport of practical shooting in the U.S. and has more than 20,000 members competing in weekly matches throughout the country, as well as regional and national championships. USPSA matches often involve the opportunity to shoot while moving as well as shoot at reactive targets that are not common in any other shooting discipline. Matches are run by the local match directors in their respective clubs. New members are always welcomed and introduced to the sport in a safe and fun way.
