DETROIT - May 13, 2013 - PRLog -- On Friday, May 31, 2013 beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a VIP reception, the Belle Isle Conservancy (BIC) hosts the Grand Prixmiere party at DTE Energy’s Town Square in Detroit.  The BIC is happy to announce the return of ESPN/ABC IndyCar Reporter Jamie Little and Motionsports Artist Bill Patterson to this year’s program. The Grand Prixmiere is the official launch party of the 2013 Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix weekend, May 31- June 2, 2013.

A highlight of the Grand Prixmiere is the driver Q&A Jamie Little moderates.  Little goes in-depth with the drivers competing this year for a fun and entertaining experience.

Bill Patterson (www.billpatterson.com) will preform his “live painting,” creating a Grand Prix race scene from a blank canvas. One lucky guest will have the chance to take a piece of the Prix home; Patterson will auction off his night’s painting to benefit the Belle Isle Conservancy.

“We’re excited to have Jamie Little and Bill Patterson back for this year’s Grand Prixmiere,” said BIC President Michele Hodges. “ Jamie has so much fun with the driver’s Q&A and watching Bill Patterson’s live painting is not only entertaining, but his finished work is amazing.”

The party begins with a V.I.P reception where guests will enjoy the chance to mix and mingle with Grand Prix drivers and team owners.
