CHAOYANG, China - May 10, 2013 - PRLog -- In Beijing record high rents and low availability is driving an examination as to how the workplace has evolved and what can still change to encourage efficiency, productivity and smart spending in China today, says Muraya in the lead up to their presentation at the annual Asia Office Space Congress in Beijing on 7 June.

Muraya, a leading interior design and construction specialist that has been operating in China for 8 years, is sponsoring the Congress and will use this opportunity to discuss workplace trends and solutions in a presentation, The Modern Workplace: Perpetual Evolution.

Love Englund, who heads Muraya Design and Construction in China, armed with a background of Swedish design expertise and 10 years of industry experience in China, has led the group in projects working with global names such as H&M, Regus, Akzo Nobel, and Volvo. He says “We are grateful for having the chance to explore and provide solutions to the challenges that are facing companies within the industry today. In modern work spaces, which are increasingly dynamic, we understand that employees have varying work styles and therefore varying demands on their work space.”

“The challenge for Service Providers,” he continues “is how to devise a strategy for clients which is a balance of both the globalized corporate culture, AND attuned to localized business environments, while at the same time maximizing efficiency & productivity”.

The resulting presentation is extremely practical, and drills into the basic elements of space allocations for staff,as well as delving into more complex issues of office environments that effect worker productivity. The needs of each user will be different and not only in terms of daily roles, organizational structure, and worker mobility, but in the structural elements of the interior space and its management– the presentation will look at how these factors influence space planning, work environments, and the bottom line for clients.

Englund will explore key strategies for managing workplace challenges from the global to level of local culture as well as looking at some of the overlooked areas.  Right now, in Beijing especially, staff are particularly conscious of air quality, so he will look specifically at how to address the areas of indoor air quality, not only for safety, health an environment (SHE) compliance, but for the immediate attraction and retention of staff.

Englund is not the only speaker who will be looking at the changing environment of the Beijing workplace and the challenges brought on by the tight leasing market.  For more information about the Congress, download the brochure here.
