DALLAS - May 9, 2013 - PRLog -- For over 20 years and running, Burning Tree Ranch has provided a refuge for individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Located on the outskirts of Kaufman, Texas, Burning Tree is home all sorts of characters, issues, animals, and supoprt. Kaufman and Burning Tree have a supportive relationship as Burning Tree clients take bingo games into elderly care housing, attend twelve-step meetings, and clean up the streets of Kaufman through monthly "trash pickup" outings. "We want our clients to experience giving back," says Burning Tree Marketing Manager Jay Staples. "In recovery we are taught to get out of ourselves and help another addict or alcoholic get through another day sober. We don't see any difference in reaching out to an alcoholic or reaching out to the Kaufman community in their time of fear and hurt."

In a news conference right after the murder of Kaufman County Assistant D.A. Mark Hasse on Jan. 31, Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland said, “When you deal with bad people on a daily basis, you run the risk something bad can happen to you." Two months later, McLelland and his wife were brutally murdered in their home. The Kaufman murders sent the whole state of Texas into a state of shock and fear, as rumors of who was behind the murders swept through coffee shops and water coolers everywhere.

Burning Tree has made their clinical staff readily available for community grief counseling, support, and outreach. Burning Tree's commitment to strengthening the Kaufman's economy by using local industries and stores has been renewed, as has the bond between a treatment center and a quiet town off Highway 175.

Burning Tree has two long term drug and alcohol rehabilitation treatment facilities located in Kaufman and Elgin, Texas, and are licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Further information on substance abuse treatment go to http://www.BurningTree.com/ . You can contact the admissions department at (866) 287-2877.
