My Call Home Launches Events Calendar for the Indian Community

The UK boasts a large and active Indian community, in addition to a wider demographic of people who take great interest in Indian culture. A series of events are taking place throughout the month of May, which celebrate uniquely Indian activities, artwork and people. Now, My Call Home has compiled a list of these events, and they are encouraging their customer and the wider community to go along and take part.

Maari Honey Ne Bhave Money – 5 May 2013

On 5 May, the Bhavan Centre and Shivam in London plays host to Maari Honey Ne Bhave Money, a hilarious Gujarati musical comedy written and directed by Kiran Purohit. This fantastic show is already proving extremely popular but tickets are still available via the Bhavan Centre site.

Life of Vision – 22-26 May 2013

Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda, the Spiritual Head of Chinmaya Mission Worldwide, will hold five evening talks at Brent Town Hall in Wembley, between 22 and 26 May. The event, called Life of Vision Signposts for Spiritual Living, is absolutely free. Talks are given in English and all are invited to attend what promises to be a special series of discourses.

Restless Ribeiro – An Indian Artist in Britain – 24 May-29 June 2013

A selection of landscapes, still life, portraits and abstract compositions by the artist Lance Ribeiro are coming to Asia House, in London. The exhibition, Restless Ribeiro, will run from 24 May until 29 June 2013. It’s a chance to discover the work of this incredible Indian artist first hand. Featuring oils, pen and ink drawing, watercolours, and even sculptures by the artist, the show promises to be an eclectic visual experience.

Sanskrit Classes – Every Friday & Saturday

The Chinmaya Mission UK will host Sanskrit classes for beginners and advanced readers, throughout the month of May. The Sanskrit Class for Beginners will take place every Friday between 10:30am and 11:30am. Further classes which are open to all ages and levels of study, take place on Saturdays, between 9:45am and 11:15am.
