Part of the famed Crooked Road Heritage Music Trail, the winery, located at milepost 171.5 on Virginia’s Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd County, Virginia, is an ideal location for music, dining, and a variety of activities in amidst breathtaking mountain views. Mid-Summer Movie on the Lawn, Saturday, June 22, 2013 8PM  
Bring your lawn chair or big blanket and enjoy outdoor cinema on a large screen. “Charlie St. Cloud” features Zac Ephron and Amanda Crew. Tickets are $5. Food and wine are available for purchase.

Black Dog Music Festivals presents Rhythm & Vine, Saturday, July 6, 2013 from 11AM - 5PM
Celebrate Virginia Wine with eight Virginia wineries in a single location. Headlining the day are The Greencards, which Time Magazine calls “[a] sweet spot half way between Americana and bluegrass.” Opening for the Greencards is Dangermuffin, whose sound is described as “[o]rganic, sand-blasted roots rock with a sweet jam spread.” Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate. Wine tastings, a festival glass, food vendors, artisans and entertainment are included with admission.  

Black Dog Summer Blues Festival, Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 11AM - 5PM    
Bring your blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment featuring national recording blues artist, J.J. Grey and Mofro. The New York Times describes JJ Grey and Mofro as “impassioned…riff-based Southern rock, cold-blooded swamp funk and sly Memphis soul.” Opening for the band is Roscoe Bandana, which “riles up mad Mississippi mud, caked on thick to handclaps and fiddle” according to Paste Magazine. Food vendors and artisans round out this fun-filled day in the mountains. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate. Admission includes wine tasting, souvenir glass, and great musical entertainment.

Beer and Brats, Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 12PM - 4PM          
Join us as we welcome the Weeping Radish Farm Brewery back to the winery. North Carolina’s oldest microbrewery will serve German style beers and hand crafted bratwursts.  Enjoy live music in the courtyard.  The event and music are free; beer and brats are available for purchase.

Cinema on the Lawn, Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 8 PM          
Bring your lawn chair or big blanket and enjoy outdoor cinema on a large screen. This film will be action-adventure and is yet to be determined. Tickets are $5. Food and drinks are available for purchase.

Black Dog Music and BBQ Festival, Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 11AM - 5PM      
A Kansas City Barbecue Association Sanctioned Competition featuring competitors from around the region, the Black Dog Music and BBQ Festival features competitive barbecue for sampling and a wide selection of festival food for purchase.  

Headlining the festivities is Donna The Buffalo, which JamBase describes as “[e]clectic and often socially conscious with its base in traditional mountain music, infused with elements of zydeco, rock, folk, reggae and country.” Opening the festival is Big Daddy Love, featuring North Carolina natives performing their well-known Appalachian Rock from their latest album Let It Grow. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate. Admission includes wine tasting, souvenir glass, and great musical entertainment.

Black Dog Beach Music Festival, Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 11AM - 5PM    
Our 5th annual Beach Music Festival is a “shagging” good time! Dance clubs and other aficionados spend the afternoon dancing in the sunshine, sipping Chateau Morrisette wine, and eating great food.  

Headlining this year’s festival are Gold record recording artists The Tams, featuring original band member Charles Pope and well-known for hits like “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy” and “What Kind of Fool.” Openers the North Tower Band feature a sizzling brass section, super vocals, and a wide ranging repertoire.
