Follow on Google News | GDC Represents Clients at the 2013 Government Procurement ConferenceRepresentatives of Government Development Center (GDC) had the pleasure of attending and exhibiting at the 23rd Annual Government Procurement Conference held in Washington, DC the end of April.
In these sessions, we discussed the most efficient way to do business with each agency. We went over forecasts and opportunities for our clients, and presented capabilities for the ones who best met the needs of each agency’s contracting needs and goals. Both departments do procure products and services through the MAS (Schedules) program when the need can be met within a GWAC (Government Wide Acquisition Contracts). Lastly, we discussed the most efficient way to market our clients to each department and procurement office. There were government representatives in attendance from many agencies that are normally underrepresented at these conferences. In conversations with these branches, we were able to obtain additional procurement contacts for areas in which we only had a few direct contacts. In addition, we met with many companies who meet current or future teaming needs of our clients. Jessica Wasserman, one of our newer clients, met us at the conference and we were able to connect her to another GSA contract holder who met the remaining component of a current one year RFQ that Wasserman & Associates is working on. We are excited at the possibilities these connections bring in offering total solutions by partnering with our clients. Our newest Marketing Representative, Claire Surber, was also in attendance and adds “… it is as massive as is it impressive. The conference went extremely well and more importantly, productive. Our firm acquired great connections to add to our already booming list of contacts. Everyone I came across, was delightful and could be of some service to our firm or from our firm to them. We are very excited with the teaming opportunities that have came up for our clients as well as teaming opportunities between other firms that offer similar services as we do to make sure our clients has every option available for their benefit. As I pour over our array of business cards, notes, booklets, forecasts, and lead lists gained from the experience, I am looking forward to the benefits that are to come months and years from now.” End
