About the Author:

George Desjardins has a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from Carleton University. After graduating from teacher’s college, he spent ten years teaching in Ontario. He then earned a Masters and worked on a PhD at the University of Texas at Arlington, studying linguistics and Bible translation. He was ordained at Shady Grove Church, Grand Prairie, Texas. From 1983 to 1994, he worked for Crossroads Christian Communications, administering the 100 Huntley Street Prayer and Counseling Center in Ottawa. After the center closed in 1994, he worked as a residential counselor in a group home, then as an occasional teacher. Since that time, he has taught many Bible training seminars, counseled, and served several churches locally as interim pastor. He is currently the secretary of CORE, a creationist organization in Ottawa, and holds pastor’s credentials with the E.C.A Ministerial Fellowship of Canada.
