WASHINGTON - May 6, 2013 - PRLog -- SNOBSWAP & Dewdrop today announced a number of fabulous additions to their highly anticipated May 9 fashion tech soiree, Swap In the City. New contributors for the charity entrepreneurship and empowerment event include sponsors Bentley, TARI, Mrs. DC America, Open Source Fashion, Love Not Label, The W Salon and Anchyi Wei; shops and startups Via Cypset, EE Cuffs, Gigee Marie, Love That Fit, Mod Wedding, Solsak, Ava Anderson, Style Cable, Twice as Warm, Stella & Dot and Curio Road as well as style connoisseur and CapFABB Co-founder Liz Fassbender who will be offering up a wealth of spring style tips to guests as they swap and shop to see an end to domestic violence at new DC accelerator, 1776.

The new corporate and community partners will be joining DC’s emerging fashion giants for a fun-filled evening of social shopping, fashion raffles and style sneak peaks. Attendees dropping off their luxury items will enjoy complimentary cocktails and hors’ devours and have the opportunity to meet and greet the founders of district’s hottest fashion startups. With music from DJ Kryogen, Comcast Sports’ Julie Donaldson as hostess and Fassbender leading the speaker style segment, the fashion show will offer a glimpse of swimwear looks by D’Milikah and coveted pieces from a celebrity closet on SNOBSWAP.com will be modeled down the runway by CapFABB bloggers and local models. The night will close with a high-end clothing swap, which will allow event-goers to walk away with coveted, designer goods for a noble cause. All unswapped items will be donated to the Goodwill of Greater Washington and a portion of the event ticket proceeds will benefit Becky’s Fund (http://BeckysFund.org), a non-profit that aims to foster awareness, encourage advocacy, promote activism and create support for victims of domestic violence.

“Our Swap In the City sponsors and startups add so more much value and impact to our event,” says SNOBSWAP co-founder Elise Whang. “We feel so honored to have the support of the DC fashion community behind us,” adds Dewdrop co-founder Kristine Thomas.
