Fundraising Efforts To Bring Much Needed Treatment for Military Vets

Vital Warrior, headed by retired Navy SEAL, Mikal Vega, kicks off campaign to raise funds to help fellow Veterans

LONG BEACH, Calif. - May 6, 2013 - PRLog -- The month of May brings much attention to those of us that have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces. National Military Appreciation Month is celebrated all month long to honor, remember, recognize and appreciate all military personnel.

Too many times, our veterans come home and bring with them a personal struggle that only one who has served can understand. According to the Department of Veteran Affairs (http://www.va.gov), experts believe that Post Traumatic Stress occurs in 11-20 % of Veterans that served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, 10% from Desert Storm and 30% of our Vietnam Veterans. Usually, it is not treated properly or mistreated with different types of pharmaceutical drugs for one thing or another. These treatments only seem to mask or “band-aid” the issue of Post Traumatic Stress.

Getting into the core of stress and healing is what Vital Warrior is aimed at doing. Beginning with his own personal treatment, Mikal Vega, has created a program of eight (8) modalities (or steps) of a natural, non-pharmaceutical way to combat his own personal struggle with Post Traumatic Stress. After years of research and personal practice, Mikal can attest that he is completely prescription drug-free.

Vital Warrior wants to bring the program to many who are looking for something that will help – and like anything when dealing with “recovery” or learning to live with something, it’s going to take a lot of work and letting go of ones inhibitions to obtain the results you hope to attain within yourself.

Vital Warrior is already working with several clients through a mentorship program currently handled directly by Mikal Vega himself. Vital Warrior also works in conjunction with other Orgs like Working Wardrobes and Vet Net to offer Vital Warrior’s program directly to those who need it most.

With that being said, the need is great and so the program’s availability needs to be greater. During the month of May, Vital Warrior kicks off it’s fundraising efforts in order to be able to make it’s program available to a greater number of our military Veterans in need.

While the ultimate goal is to have a facility in as many military communities across the country as possible, Vital Warrior is set to kick off a cross-country tour, making stops to share the program with Vets along the way. The thing with the Vital Warrior program is that the steps it offers can be found in your local hometown. Find a yoga class, a meditation center, acupuncture and other forms of self-healing that are non-invasive but work to heal the self.

Fundraising efforts are already underway through Vital Warrior’s Facebook page as well as on military apparel company, Vision-Strike-Wear.Com’s Facebook page and website in an effort to send Vital Warrior to a town near you.

Donate now (http://vitalwarrior.org/donate-now/) to help and become a proud member of Vital Warrior. Your donation will help arm a Veteran with Vital tools to help him or herself fight back each day to overcome Post Traumatic Stress and live a great life, which our Veterans deserve.
