Viasystems’ Ciudad Juarez Plant Partners with Tier 1 Supplier to Make Nuclear Power Safer

EL PASO, Texas - May 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Viasystems, recently participated in a manufacturing project aimed at making Japan’s nuclear power industry safer.

The company manufactures mechanical-electrical systems integration frames for uninterruptible power systems. The work was done at Viasystems’ 200,000 square foot production facility located in Ciudad Juarez’s Verde Realty Industrial Park. The finished product will be installed at Japanese nuclear facilities for the purpose of ensuring that power plant energy supplies will not experience interruptions during emergency situations or when nuclear power is lost. Viasystems operates its Ciudad Juarez facility under the Tecma Group of Companies' (http://www.tecma.com) Mexico Shelter Manufacturing Partnership.
