New Board member for Diabetes Tools

May 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Stockholm - Diabetes Tools expanded its Board of Directors at the medtech company's Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 25 April 2013. Stefan Winberg was elected as a director based on his extensive international medtech industry and life science corporate financing expertise.

"Stefan Winberg joins our board at an important time for the company," said Diabetes Tools Board Chairman Per-Anders Johansson. "Stefan has over 20 years of medical device industry experience which adds to the Board's existing strategic competencies. In April, Diabetes Tools launched Triabetes™ in Sweden, our Software-as-a-Service solution for people living with diabetes, and Stefan's expertise will be invaluable as the company continues to grow."

Stefan Winberg is founder of the advisory firms Winpoint AB and previously, Winberg and Buch. In addition to several international management positions, Stefan was Investment Manager at Karolinska Investment Fund, co-founder of Medinsite AB and CEO of Spacelabs Medical AB.

New auditor appointed

Also at the AGM, Johan Pharmanson from accountancy firm BDO was appointed as certified public accountant. He is BDO Sweden's International Liaison Partner and Partner in charge of US country coordination.
