Tienda del Mercado Presents Summerfaction 2013 Acoustic Showdown

DAVAO CITY, Philippines - May 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Calling all 3-6 member acoustic bands as Tienda del Mercado presents Summerfaction 2013 Acoustic Showdown.  Summerfaction, launched last April 26 at Tienda del Mercado in Juna Subdivision, is a month-long Music Festival in Davao City from April to May 2013 featuring diverse flavors, live acoustic entertainment, and lifestyle bazaar. The said acoustic showdown is an opportunity for local acoustic bands to win a grand prize of P10000 and a chance to play as an opening act for Up Dharma Down on May 25th. It is open to all ages and to any genre of music as well.

Here are the details for Summerfaction 2013 Acoustic Showdown:

1.) Open to all ages. Amateur bands only.
2.) Registration fee is P150.00.
3.) Band needs to perform 3 songs (any genre) not more than 18 minutes.
4.) Maximum of 6 members.
5.) There will only be 1 champion. The champion will receive P10,000.00 and will be the opening act for Up Dharma Down the following day.
6.) There will be a maximum of 8 bands to play every night on the following dates: April 24-25, May 3-4, May 17-18 (Friday-Saturday). Each night, there will be 4 bands who can proceed to play on weekly eliminations on April 28, May 5, May 19 (Sundays). Winners from the weekly eliminations will proceed to Grand Finals on May 24.
7.) Judging will be based on Originality (20%), Creativity (20%), Band Tightness (20%), Stage Presence (10%). 30% of the remaining score will be computed by the People's Choice which will be based on the number of votes (vote stubs) each band gets. To avail the vote stubs, people need to purchase P100.00 worth of goods from our exhibitors. The criteria for the Grand Finals will be Originality (30%), Creativity (30%), Band Tightness (20%), Stage Presence (10%), Audience Impact (10%).
