Cherrytree - Interscope recording artist Colette Carr will be releasing part 4 of her Industry acclaimed SKITSZO Collection on Tuesday, May 7th

Recording artist Colette Carr has music industry and fans going crazy over her recently released “SKITSZO” EP Collection (Carr’s debut album).

American singer-rapper Colette Carr has captured the ears and hearts of music fans, and earned acclaims and positive reviews for SKITSZO 1, 2, and 3 of the collection from music critics, and influential music media brands like Billboard Magazine. The collection, named as a tribute to Carr's favorite uncle who all though struggled with mental illness, was a mentor and source of creativity for the rising artist, “It’s also a tribute to my uncle who suffered from schizophrenia, but more than that it’s a tribute to the man who showed me what true and pure creativity was before he passed away two years ago," said Carr. She described the style of the album as, "musically schizophrenic."

ArjanWrites.com called Carr "A musical chameleon who can spit a rhyme, own a dance beat, belt out a lullaby and deliver a catchy pop hook," and also said, "It's nearly impossible to put a label on Colette Carr's music, but if there's one word to sum up her unique point of view it's that she's fearless." Artist Direct described Carr's sound on the album as, "A unique combination of singing and spitting ("spinging") in a wickedly inventive set of pop, hip-hop, and electro-pop."

SKITSZO 4, releasing on Tuesday, May 7th, 2013 is quickly gaining attention of executives and tastemakers in and around the music business, by the pioneering new way of releasing music from a pioneering new Cherrytree artist.  The reasoning behind this release approach by Cherrytree Records owner Martin Kierszenbaum (also a producer known by his pseudonym of Cherry Cherry Boom Boom), is that Colette is so improvisational and in-the-moment that Cherrytree wants to match the delivery method to her audience with her spirit and flow. Colette is such a dynamic and improvisational artist who is in up-to-minute contact with her audience, so much so, that for the first time ever, Cherrytree has been making Colette's music available to her fans as fast as she records it, releasing The SKITSZO Collection in four EP installments, with a new EP releasing every 2 months culminating in a full album.

SKITSZO 4, includes tracks produced by six time Grammy Award nominated producer Red One, known for his work with high profile recording artists, including Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Mylène Farmer, Pitbull, One Direction, Enrique Iglesias, Cher, MIKA, Darin, Nicki Minaj, Backstreet Boys and Paulina Rubio.  “Told You So” the first single to be released off SKITSZO 4, features Porcelain Black, who is signed to label 2101 Records, owned by Red One. Additional tracks include production by Cherrytree Records owner Martin Kierszenbaum, songwriter and producer as well as A&R for Sting, Keane, Tokio Hotel, Feist, Far East Movement, and Colette Carr.

On July 9, 2013, the full physical album will be released, featuring all the songs from the EP's, plus four new ones.
