Flagler Beach, FL – Flagler Fish Company is proud to announce that they have promoted team member Tyler Hurry to front end manager.  He will be joining front end manager Jason Hutsell – a recent winner of the Flagler County Tourism Office’s Flagler County H.E.R.O.E.S. (Hospitality Employees Recognition Of Excellent Service) award. Jason has been with Flagler Fish Company since 2006.

Beginning last month, Flagler Fish Company owners Chris and Carolyn Casper promoted Hurry, who has been with the company since 2009. Hurry’s talents continue outside of the restaurant business as well. He is a certified teacher, and wrestling coach at Matanzas High School. In addition, Hurry is a Jiu-Jitsu World Champion and started Groudworks with two friends last year, teaching Jiu-Jitsu and other martial arts techniques. Some of Hurry’s new duties at FFC will include working with customers to ensure they fully enjoy their dining experience. This means memorizing names of customers – not an easy task as they see thousands of people a week - remembering any food allergies they may have, and providing service that goes above and beyond their expectations.

“Not only is our business built on great food, but it takes an amazing team with people like Tyler and our other hard-working servers, bussers, cooks, dishwashers and chefs,” said Chris Casper. “We believe that working with people is one of our strengths, and Tyler is more than capable of delivering superior customer service,” he added.
“One of the reasons I enjoy working at the FFC and have stayed so long is that they are a small family business, but they are always on the cutting edge,” Hurry stated. “It can be a tough business, we are always going 60-miles an hour, non-stop, providing top-notch customer service, as well continuously striving to improve our food and specials that we offer,” he added. “But we are like a fine wine – always getting better as we get older,” he concluded.

Flagler Fish Company opened their doors in Flagler Beach in 2005. They offer a wide selection of fresh fish and shellfish. The selection varies on a daily basis including fish such as cobia, grouper, flounder, cod, triggerfish, local shrimp, salmon, tuna and more. They also carry certified Angus beef brand USDA Prime Hand Cut Rib-eye, Filet Mignon, and New York Strip. The indoor and outdoor restaurant offers daily appetizer and dinner specials that are guaranteed to “Knock Your Flops Off”.  Try some of their most popular items such as steamed mussels, shrimp ‘n grits and Asiago Potatoes.   Creative gourmet sides include the portabella, tomato asparagus salad, and Cole’s Slaw.  Fish Sandwiches, Maine lobster and shrimp salad, seared tuna, prime beef burgers, full plate salads, and creative soups and chowders round out their gourmet offerings.  They are a Slow Foods recognized restaurant, meaning that they source and use a good deal of local products. They are also registered with the “Fresh from Florida” program as a restaurant that uses Florida fish, shellfish, and produce. They offer approximately 30 different wines that are constantly evolving, as well as a nice selection of premium and domestic beers. FFC prides themselves on being ‘green’. They recycle daily, pay more to be able to use recyclable take out containers (no Styrofoam), and carry only recyclable straws, to-go containers, drink cups, and cutlery.

Flagler Fish Company continually supports local charities such as The Tommy Tant Scholarship Fund, The Turtle Patrol, Rally for a Cure, Friends of A1A, church organizations and many more. They are located at 180 South Daytona Avenue in Flagler Beach. They are open Monday – Thursday and Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm, Friday’s from 10 am to 9 pm.  They can be reached at 386-439-0000 or online at http://flaglerfishcompany.com/, or https://www.facebook.com/FlaglerFishCompany.
