G.E. Masana's Art Photography Featured on Jen Chapin's New CD, "RECKONING"

NEW YORK - May 5, 2013 - PRLog -- NYC singer-songwriter Jen Chapin releases her new album, Reckoning, on May 20, a new collection of original songs written in her distinctive blend of urban folk/jazz/pop storytelling, reckoning with the challenges of balancing creativity with the humorous and all-too real demands of motherhood and social activism.

The photography for the album is by G.E. Masana, a NYC photographer who Chapin, the daughter of legendary singer-songwriter Harry Chapin, had commissioned previously for her wedding. Masana, known for his artful, emotive depictions of real moments at weddings, was called upon to create a spectrum of textures to reflect the theme of the CD.

“[His] creativity is awe-inspiring,” says Chapin.

Masana's foray into wedding photography came out of his work as a commercial illustrator in NYC. "I'm an artist who happens to photograph weddings. And though I treat those as artistic assignments as well, it was great to be involved in more of a fine art project with Jen's CD. She's an amazing artist."
