SAN FRANCISCO - May 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Ted Frank, President and CEO of Backstories Studio announced today that he will be presenting at the 2013 MRA Insights & Strategies Conference taking place in Orlando, FL June 10-12. Frank’s popularity at other conferences, like those held by QRCA, makes him an ideal fit for this annual researcher’s conference. Frank’s workshop, “Storytelling: How to Actually Tell an Insights Story to Far Reaching Clients,” is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11th at 1:10pm.  

In this workshop, Frank will review what clients and stakeholders are looking for in storytelling, techniques for mapping out an insights story, how you showcase consumer insights by applying some of the same techniques used in movies, and much more. Attendees will walk away with the advanced storytelling techniques that deliver not just consumer understanding, but also reach clients on the emotional level that will make them care enough to act.

Ted has been an insights storyteller for eleven years, but began (shamefully) as an advertising creative who did not value insights. But after becoming creative director at Cheskin and finally getting close enough to research to truly feel consumers, Ted found his calling. Now, with his colleagues at Backstories Studio, he uses movie-style storytelling to bridge the gap that often keeps insights from being used. Their deliverables help clients not only understand insights more easily, but become inspired enough to take action and begin using them in a whole new way.
