Centennial Medical Center Partners with Frisco Chamber of Commerce for State of Healthcare Luncheon

May 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Dr. Robert S. Hendler, Tenet Healthcare’s vice president of clinical quality and the regional chief medical officer for Texas, Alabama and Georgia, represented Centennial Medical Center as a panelist for the State of Healthcare for YOUR Business luncheon, hosted by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce on April 24.

During the luncheon, businesses learned how the Affordable Healthcare Act will impact them directly. A panel of doctors and healthcare industry experts explained the ins and outs to help minimize confusion and debunk misconceptions surrounding the bill. Dr. Hendler and his fellow panelists provided attendees with a clearer picture of what this act will look like for healthcare professionals in Texas and their clients. Other panelists include Jay Saad, a sales segment executive with Cigna; Luke Bailey, an ERISA lawyer with Strasburger & Price; John Peiser a tax expert with Goldin, Peiser & Peiser.

“The Affordable Healthcare Act affects everyone in our country,” noted Dr. Hendler. “This information is important for individuals and businesses in our industry to have a thorough understanding of, but many are having a tough time comprehending the specifics. Dr. Hendler is a board-certified gastroenterologist and joined Tenet in 1998. As the previous owner of a private practice, he has extensive knowledge of the medical industry and how new laws will affect it. Dr. Hendler earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Boston College and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston, Texas. He is a member of the Medical Reserve Corp. of Dallas, and has previously served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Texas State Guard.
