A New Puzzle for the Lovers of Sudoku: the Pattern Square

TACOMA, Wash. - May 3, 2013 - PRLog -- The lovers of the old fashioned puzzle games can now treat themselves to a new puzzle, the Pattern Square. The Pattern Square is an original puzzle created by the artist Maciek Jozefowicz. It is meant to complement the two classics, the Crossword and the Sudoku. But while the Crossword is a verbal trivia puzzle and the Sudoku is a numerical puzzle, the Pattern Square is a visual puzzle that challenges players' visual intelligence as they attempt to fill-in the missing parts of a pattern.

"The Pattern Square is a Sudoku for visual people," says the creator of the puzzle. "I invented this puzzle for those who love art, who love to draw or doodle and for those who think visually. Solving the puzzle is meant to be not only an intellectual pleasure but also a tactile pleasure. You 'draw-in' the solution."

The creator collected 100 Pattern Square puzzles in a new book, PATTERN SQUARES. But the book is only available through pledge via Kickstarter, a crowdfunding website. The pledge is used to help fund the publication of the book. While a pledge of any amount can be given, a minimum $10 pledge is required to receive a copy of the book. A $25 pledge will get you the limited edition signed and numbered copy of the PATTERN SQUARES plus an acknowledgement in the book. The funding process for the PATTERN SQUARES book last only until May 21.

"The puzzle book makes a great gift for anyone who loves Sudoku or similar type of puzzles," believes the artist, who is seeking to raise $7,000 to help publish this unique book of puzzles.
