Muhammad Ali Center and OnCell to Provide Mobile Tour for Visitors with Smartphones and Cell Phones

May 3, 2013 - PRLog -- LOUISVILLE, Kentucky | The Muhammad Ali Center will launch on July 1st, 2013, its brand new OnCell Mobile Tour that will allow visitors to discover audio, images, and video beyond what is presented in the Ali Center’s permanent exhibits. This new mobile device is designed for visitors with smartphones, tablets and cell phones to access all types of compelling tour content and it offers outstanding interaction and engagement opportunities. In addition, visitors using OnCell technology will have access to text captioning and visitor surveys.

OnCell visitors will be able to access the mobile tour in a variety of ways:  by dialing the tour number, downloading the OnCell App for Android or iPhone, or by streaming the audio through the OnCell Mobile Web App at www.oncell.mobi.

This, in turn, will enhance their take-away experience, and hopefully connect visitors to the Center in a new way.”

According to Marcel Parent, Senior Director of Education, Outreach, and Curation at the Ali Center, the initial focus will be on a handful of the Center’s most popular exhibits and “over time, grow the mobile tours to include all of our permanent exhibits, some key oral history interviews, GPS-based visits to Ali landmarks, connection opportunities to our Generation Ali initiative, and more.”
