SWANSEA, Wales - May 3, 2013 - PRLog -- It's now been confirmed the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight has been added to the line-up for both days of the Wales National Air Show taking place in Swansea in July.

The free event, organised by Swansea Council, is being held on Saturday July 13 and Sunday July 14. Other famous aircraft like the Lancaster bomber, the Chipmunk and the Dakota also form part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Other forthcoming events include Clyne in Bloom throughout May, giving a great chance for gardeners and visitors to see the park in full colour when the award-winning rhododendrons and azaleas are in full bloom.

There's also the Classic Car Show and family fun day at Singleton Park on Monday May 6, the LC Swansea Bay 5K on Tuesday May 14 and Cerys Matthews at the Brangwyn Hall on Friday May 31.

Cllr Nick Bradley, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: "The Wales National Air show is one of the showpiece events of the summer in Swansea that's sure to attract many thousands of visitors. The addition of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight to the line-up will further raise its profile among fans of aircraft, history and World War Two.

"But there are also many more events taking place across Swansea, Mumbles and Gower over coming months as part of the Swansea Bay Summer Festival. These include several events and activities throughout May as we head towards the peak summer season."

Other May events include a Love Your Local Market Day in Swansea Market and Oxford Street on Saturday May 25 from 10am to 3pm. This will include a variety of entertainment and cookery demonstrations.

Plantasia in Parc Tawe is also holding its popular Animal Antics event from Tuesday May 28 to Thursday May 30, giving visitors the chance to get up close and personal with all sorts of exotic critters.
