Jupiter Medical Center's Wellness in Motion Bus Available to Stop at Events and Businesses

JUPITER, Fla. - May 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Jupiter Medical Center has unveiled its Wellness in Motion Bus – a new mobile mammography and health and wellness unit that travels around Northern Palm Beach County providing health services to the community. The Wellness in Motion bus is a patient-friendly, comfortable and technologically-sophisticated vehicle that brings the convenience of a health checkup to employees and residents, saving them appointment and travel time.

The Wellness in Motion bus appears at businesses, health fairs, events and residential communities around town, making it more convenient than ever for the public to receive a quick check up or for women to obtain their annual mammogram. Mammograms are performed by certified radiologic technologists and images are interpreted by board-certified radiologists. No prescription is necessary for a screening mammogram for women ages 35 and older.  

In addition to screening digital mammography, the Wellness in Motion bus services include the Health Risk Assessment Package which comprises of a lipid panel, height and weight BMI, blood pressure, glucose screening, bone density heel screening (optional), health counseling and an aggregate report. For the screening mammogram, regular insurance coverage applies. Uninsured pricing is available. The Health Risk Assessment Package is $20 (not covered under insurance).
