UMobile Wins beLaunch - 2013, India Edition

BENGALURU, India - May 2, 2013 - PRLog -- It’s a matter of pride for Indian startups. Recently, beLAUNCH -  South Korea’s biggest startup conference initiated a competitive event for Indian startups interested in entering the Korean and East Asian market. Over 65 companies participated in the India edition and now over 20 finalists will compete in the Grand Finale to be held at Seoul, A team of VCs and industry experts selected UMobile as the winner of the India Edition.  Cooliris, a leading innovations company based on Palo Alto, was the event partner.

The Key IPs that UMobile has developed include the following:

·       UMobility Manager: A standards based WiFi offloading module that enables seamless connectivity across multiple wireless technologies. Using UMobility Manager, Carriers around the world can manage end user connectivity and reduce their infrastructure costs by offloading their capacity needs to WiFi networks with higher capacity than 4G/LTE. This is based on ANDSF (Access Network Discovery and Selection Function) standard.

·       UConnect: UMobile has developed a complete Hybrid Wireless Connection Management Platform integrated with UMobility Manager for various form-factors and Platform. With UConnect and UANDSF, the device will always connect to the most optimal connectivity technology based on Carrier and User Parameters.

·       Kepplr: Cloud based Data Sync Solution for Phones, Tablets, In-Car Entertainment, Set-top Boxes etc.

·       UManage:  OMA DM based Device Management solution.

UMobile’s clientele comprises some of the world’s top companies which include Intel – Licensed Kepplr for their Android Platform, Altair Semiconductors, D-Link and Asmaitha Wireless.
