MELBOURNE, Australia - May 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Jump aboard this great cause;  Melbourne’s 2013 ‘Kiss Goodbye to MS’ VIP event. A relaxing evening with comedy by Tim Ferguson, fabulous entertainment, an 8 course banquet by acclaimed Chef John Mcleay, premier auction and much more! This VIP Melbourne event is themed around the culinary delights of the venue in Melbourne’s famous McKillop Laneway, Red Spice Road.  It’s aimed at attracting 200 high profile media, government and corporate guests.

Tickets available online here (https://register.eventarc.com/15493/red-spice-road-night-of-culinary-delights).  MS Australia’s national ‘Kiss Goodbye to MS’ campaign, will take place throughout May this year.  The campaign is underpinned by a community based website holding all the event and fundraiser tallies at: www.kissgoodbyetoms.org.

For example, our events last year featured NSW Premier Barry O Farrell, Deputy Premier Jillian Skinner, Mark Beretta and Natalie Barr from Sunrise, Georgia Sinclair, Sandra Sully, Natasha Belling, Brad McEwan and John Paul Young (who sang ‘Love is in the Air’ to the audience at China Doll!), to name just a few.

Kiss Goodbye to MS is a rapidly growing campaign, with an estimated media reach of over 5 million people in 2012, the third year of the campaign. We are this year aiming for a reach of 8 million people.

The thinking behind Kiss Goodbye to MS is that three out of 4 people with multiple sclerosis (MS) are women and the average age of diagnosis is 30 – just when a woman’s family and career life are likely to be taking off.  The campaign was established in 2010 as a fun and empowering way that those affected by MS could do something proactive to tackle the disease.

Last year over $700,000 was raised by the Kiss Goodbye to MS campaign and this year we aim to raise over $1 million.  All funds raised go towards vital research into a cure for MS and to the provision of services for people living with the disease.

A live auction and raffle is being pulled together with many great prizes being put up for donation e.g. jewellery and trips away.  You are also invited to donate something special if you think it will support this important campaign.

Please check out this short video with some of the media coverage from 2012: http://youtu.be/aMcERwWEewI

We hope this night will help make a difference for more than 23,000 Australians currently living with MS. The future is in our hands!
