SEATTLE - May 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Members of the World Institute of Pain (WIP) will be visiting Spine Institute Northwest in Bothell on May 13 to conduct a site inspection as part of the WIP's Excellence in Pain Practice (EPP) Award. The Award is designed to promote the highest standards of pain practice through recognition of pain centers worldwide.

"This site visit is a vital step in the WIP credentialing process for Spine Institute Northwest," says Dr. Solomon Kamson, MD, PhD. "Our team is excited to host World Institute of Pain members at our facility, so they can see first-hand our commitment to providing patients with service excellence."

WIP is an international membership organization for physicians that facilitates the exchange of pain medical knowledge and practical expertise through participation in World Congresses, international and regional symposia, and practical workshops. WIP provides a global forum for education, training, and networking for thousands of physicians who dedicate themselves to the worldwide phenomena of acute and chronic pain syndromes.

"Spine Institute Northwest wholeheartedly supports WIP's mission of fostering the exchange of medical science in the field of interventional pain management, encouraging medical research, and creating opportunities for continued learning in the most up-to-date technical procedures," says Dr. Kamson. "Research and teaching the next generation doctors in the fast-moving field of back pain, diagnosis, and treatment has long been a passion of mine."

As the founder of Spine Institute Northwest, Dr. Kamson specializes in interventional pain medicine, as well as minimally invasive spine surgery (https://www.spineinstitutenorthwest.com/treatments/endosc...). Dr. Kamson also serves as president of the Society for Advanced Spinal Intervention (SASI), a professional organization designed to advance the objectives of the spinal medicine field through advocacy, research, training, education and more.

The EPP Award recognizes Pain Centers that excel in providing education and training to young fellows and physicians in the field of pain practice. Pain Centers may apply for and be considered for recognition in up to three areas: pain center achievements, training and research, and the impact of the Pain Center to the specialty of pain practice.
