For this Concept version, Mercedes-Benz pulled out all the stops by debuting a headlight system integrated with a laser-beam projector that can project images or video onto almost any surface outside or inside the vehicle. Linked with the Mercedes-Benz COMAND® infotainment system, the system can project images and videos directly from the Internet, a smartphone, or a hard drive ― it can also project live 3D images from two removable cameras that are fitted to the front roof rail.

The interior is elegantly appointed, featuring hand-stitched leather upholstery with dark galvanized aluminum trim. With power delivered by a turbocharged 208-hp 4-cylinder engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, this sporty crossover also features 4MATIC® all-wheel drive.

It is believed that the production version will be unveiled at the upcoming 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show this September, with its launch expected to begin early next year. Spy shots have revealed that a standard version is in development, as well as a high-performance GLA45 AMG® version.
