Building on this, they have subscribed to Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Blue Chip’s Cloud based online Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) system, SecureVault to both streamline their day-to-day communications and ensure a faultless Business Continuity plan.” By moving Fixi Crescent Suzuki’s IT infrastructure to Blue Chip’s data centre where it is both secured and managed centrally, the need to administer and update their own IT equipment has been removed allowing them more time to focus on racing. Moreover, the team can now access all its data as and when required, on any network and on any device. Meanwhile, backup through SecureVault happens seamlessly and automatically online, with two copies held in encrypted storage across two locations; Blue Chip’s data centre and at its Poole HQ. This removes the responsibility from staff and covers disaster recovery requirements by providing a ‘Bare Metal Restore’ option. Procuring both these services on a pay per usage basis has also greatly reduced costs.
