MINNEAPOLIS - May 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Their store just opened in March, and already Treasured Garment Restoration is receiving attention for their unique location and the beautifully styled Bridal Studio in the Loring Park Neighborhood of Minneapolis.  In collaboration with the nearby Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC), students from Laura Andrews’ Life Drawing class will be hosting their final exhibit for spring semester, at Treasured Garment’s new store location at 10 S 13th St, in Minneapolis.  The Opening Reception will be on Friday, May 3rd from 5:00 – 7:00pm, and the public is welcome!

The MCTC students’ amazing work was produced in cooperation with Treasured Garment’s key themes: vintage, restoration and the old becoming new again.  Their art will be showcased for one week only, and all are invited to come explore the exhibit from May 3-10, 2013.  To see some samples of these students’ work, visit mnartists.org.

The melding of vintage and art in this exciting show is only the beginning of a partnership between MC TC and Treasured Garment Restoration!  Treasured Garment’s unique studio offers bridal gown alterations, as well as actually designing their own gown, veil or headpiece.  For those brides looking for their “something old, or something borrowed,” they can actually have a family wedding gown cleaned and restored (back to its original white color!) and then re-designed to match the brides’ modern tastes!
