West Palm Beach, Florida—Three local business owners are doing their part in bringing awareness to Lupus, a disease, that affects over 100,000 Floridians, by hosting a fundraising Dinner. This exciting event will be held on Thursday, July 18th, 2013 at The West Palm Beach Event Hall, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

Michelle & Marshall Meikle, owners of Meikle’s Creative Catering, LLC and Rhonda Davis, owner of RAD Event Production, Inc. are temporarily putting business on hold to host a dinner event in order to bring awareness of Lupus to all across South Florida. These two companies are joining forces to bring awareness to Lupus and raise funds for The
Lupus Foundation of America, Southeast Florida Chapter (LFA). The event includes Lupus information, resources and inspirational stories of people living with Lupus. Fundraisers include the sale of tickets for the event with a portion of the
proceeds going to LFA.

Michelle, Marshall & Rhonda are contributing to the event by hosting this dinner fundraiser, and preparing dinner for all in attendance.

Lupus remains a silent, debilitating, often invisible, yet possibly life-threatening disease.
There are still many in the community, and in the country who do not know the true effects of this disease.

According to The Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) there are currently 1.5 million Americans living with Lupus, with 16,000 people being diagnosed each year. Though there are currently no cures for Lupus, early diagnosis and
proper medical treatment can significantly help to manage the disease. Increasing numbers of research studies are underway, to develop new and improved treatments for Lupus and to find a cure.

Michelle made it clear that supporting Lupus Foundation of America, Southeast Florida is a personal decision for her, since she herself is living with Lupus, and not many people are fully aware of this disease.
