Plus Fashion Week Chicago Founder to Focus on Plus Fashion Education

April 30, 2013 - PRLog -- The goal of Plus Fashion Week® Chicago is to facilitate partnerships within the international apparel community. Sixty Five percent of the worlds population are sizes 12 and above, yet they still lack adequate choices to meet their needs.

Myisha T. Hill founder of the Plus Fashion Week® brand hand shifted organizational  gears to focus on  plus fashion education and entrepreneurship development. "With over 1 million consumers and $16 billion dollars in sales revenue, the plus fashion industry is still an untapped marketplace." says Hill,  "As educators it is time we begin to focus on training students and entrepreneurs  to tap into this "niche marketplace."

As an organization Plus Fashion Week® Chicago will be following the lead of our founder.As of May 1st, 2013 Plus Fashion Week® Chicago will now serve as an event for The Plus Fashion Foundation.  The mission of  The Plus Fashion Foundation is to be an educational resource for students and entrepreneurs focusing on the plus size fashion industry. Dates and detaols for  Plus Fashion Week® Chicago have not been released.

Since 2007 Ms. Hill has used fashion as platform for women empowerment, youth enrichment and social education. In the spring of 2013 she launched The Plus Fashion Foundation,  a non-profit organization seeking to inspire students and professionals to seek careers within  the Plus Size Fashion Industry.   Currently Ms. Hill is pursuing a Masters Degree in Apparel Studies with an emphasis in Plus Size Fashion.
