MIDLAND, Ontario - April 30, 2013 - PRLog -- The Scientist’s 2013 Salary Survey (http://the-scientist.com/2012/03/26/the-2012-salary-survey-is-here/) is open to the life-science community. With the help of researchers, the brand provides insights into how salaries from various fields, from bioengineering to ecology to proteomics, range in this dynamic industry.

Responses are used to compile the current information on life-science salaries. The survey only takes about 5 minutes to complete. Then, readers can check The Scientist magazine and homepage in November—just before year-end reviews—to read the results.

The article will provide tables and charts showing how salaries compare by life-science specialization, geographic location, degree, job title, and more. Check out how your salary compares to your peers’ earnings, according to last year's data.

And for the first time ever, The Scientist is encouraging participation from scientists around the world. Help us make this year's global salary data robust by filling out the survey today, and encouraging peers and colleagues to do so as well.

“Our salary surveys give researchers the most up-to-date benchmark for their industry's salary set-points,” explains The Scientist senior editor Jef Akst. “As the funding environment continues to change, tracking salaries will be more important than ever.”
