Follow on Google News | JETTBO’s Fund Donates FIDO BAGS to Arizona FirestationsThe Fetch Foundation announces a generous donation from Jettbo’s Fund to supply Verde Valley Station 32, Cottonwood Station 31, City of Cottonwood Station 41, Clarkdale Station 21 Jerome Station 11 & ALL Sedona, Arizona Fire Stations with FIDO Bags
Named in memory of a beloved malamute, Jettbo’s Fund for Needy Animals was created two years ago. During Sedona's annual Dia de los Muertos event, a label is placed across a mason jar for a name or message to be written honoring a deceased loved one or pet. The jars are then lit and placed on various altars around the patio of Tlaquepaque. Donations of any amount (no donation required) are placed in a vase with JettBo's picture on it. All donations collected are donated to an animal charity or animal interest project. JettBo's Fund for Needy Animals raised just over $1000.00 at last November's event with literally hundreds of jars being placed on the altars by people in remembrance of their departed furry friends. “We select a different charity or organization each year to receive JettBo's Fund” explains Ken Heflin of Jettbo’s Fund for Needy Animals. “We wanted to do something that would be an ongoing benefit to animals in the area and help save pet's lives from tragic fires” adds Co-Founder Jim Bullock. “We at The Fetch Foundation welcome groups like JettBo’s Fund and people like Ken and Jim. Their big hearts and kindness to animals reach well beyond their own homes and into the homes of each and every animal lover of an entire community” shares Marie Peck, Founder of The Fetch Foundation. “These are the people who do more than just donate a dollar amount; these are the people who create a movement” The Fetch Foundation is a 501c3 organization that is run completely by volunteers. This unique nonprofit charity is dedicated to serve our community while saving you and your pets. The Fetch Foundation’s vision is to have a FIDO BAG© on every fire truck in the country and to provide rescued dogs an opportunity to be heroes in our community by re-homing, training K9 Search and Rescue teams, as well as Military Veterans with PTSD.
