504 Magazine Presents International Jazz Day Live Concert At Cityscape in Phoenix on April 30th

LOS ANGELES - April 29, 2013 - PRLog -- In November 2011, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially designated April 30th as International Jazz Day in order to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe.  In this year of 2013, 504 Magazine in conjunction with the State of Arizona is now set to kick off a highly anticipated all star jazz concert live in the city of Phoenix honoring Jazz Appreciation Month via International Jazz Day. The Phoenix Jazz Concert will kick off from 11am to 1pm at Cityscape in the city of Phoenix.

The concert welcomes families and adults to attend to enjoy the day’s exciting festivities which includes Celebrity Guest Speaker, Mr. George Benson and hosted by renowned jazz musicians and composers, Doc Jones and Kerry Campbell, leading an all star band with special guest appearances including celebrity Universal Recording Artist, Nayo Jones (Fox/ABC), and other special guests including Jazz Guitarist, Giavanna (Fox).

In celebration of the power of Jazz and the arts, a youth presentation will be performed by Country Day, the city of Phoenix’ Elementary and HS Jazz Band with other special guests. After the all star concert, a VIP after party celebration will be held at the prestigious Palomar Hotel with stars and executives in attendance with 504 Magazine serving as the presenting sponsor.

International Jazz Day is chaired and led by Irina Bokova, UNESCO Director General, and legendary jazz pianist and composer Herbie Hancock, who serves as a UNESCO Ambassador for Intercultural Dialogue and Chairman of the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. The Institute is the lead nonprofit organization charged with planning, promoting and producing this annual celebration, which began in 2012. 504 Magazine is a premiere jazz publication with its main publishing hub in the city of New Orleans.
