April 25, 2013 - PRLog -- KENT, Wash.  — Continuing to build and grow their legacy in the mud, Raleigh Bicycles (http://www.raleighusa.com/) introduces their new lighter and faster cyclocross (CX) bike line for 2014. With deep roots in the sport, Raleigh launches five high-performance CX steeds that are lighter, brighter, and better. The new line debuted at the Sea Otter Classic (http://www.seaotterclassic.com/) last week in Monterey, Calif., and will be available in June.

“There really isn’t a single element of our CX bikes that we didn’t review and think through about how we can improve the product. Wheels, parts, saddles, and frames all went through significant changes, which is resulting in huge improvements on an already solid line," said Chris Speyer, COO of Accell North America (http://new.pitchengine.com/pitches/e7fc1098-e21b-4956-8ff7-b43fb41deaf6). “Our continuing collaboration with our pro athletes on the Raleigh-Clement team and listening to the market, is resulting in some exciting leaps forward. We’re committed to growing CX in the North American market and I think this line reflects that.”

The new CX line is all about style, enhancing performance, and shaving weight – with every model going on a diet. Everything was examined and improvements were made across the lineup including new alloy frames, carbon forks, wheels, and components. No detail was too small as the bikes now feature new cross-specific handle bar tape with better grip in wet conditions, as well as a redesigned dual-bolt seatpost to eliminate unwanted saddle shifting when remounting the bike.
