Trap Door Athletics Launches the Liberty Box League

PHILADELPHIA - April 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Trap Door Athletics will launch the Liberty Box League, a competition league for CrossFit Athletes of metro-Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey this fall.

More information, including registration deadlines, rules, and scoring can be found on its website - www.libertyboxleague.com.  The inaugural 5-week season begins on Saturday, September 14, 2013, runs through Saturday, October 12, 2013, and culminates with a championship match in late-October. Thirty teams representing fifteen gyms will be divided into three conferences. The teams will be comprised of six athletes and will battle for a spot at the League Championships, and ultimately the Liberty Cup and the title of Fittest Team in the League.

Founders Cassie Haynes and Emily Record, competitive CrossFit athletes and Olympic weightlifters, are extremely excited to bring the Liberty Box League to Philadelphia and surrounding counties.  Opportunities for competition are both limited and extraordinarily important to sharpening the skills of the athletes in our community.  A relatively groundbreaking concept (only a few communities across the country are doing this), the Liberty Box League gives participants a logical stepping stone in their progression as competitive athletes.
