ALBANY, N.Y. - April 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Huawei, a world leading supplier of network gear is pulling out of the U.S. market after years of government security concerns. This past Tuesday, executive vice president Eric Xu stated that Huawei has been gradually moving its focus away from the U.S. over last year, as they seek to expand their attention into other global markets.

After some recent incidents, which can be traced back to China, Huawei came under scrutiny. Huawei was accused of some subversive tactics, and accused of assisting with spying by Congress. Rather than fighting in a difficult battle, Huawei has decided to gracefully bow out.

Huawei estimates the U.S. accounts for around 30% of the world’s carrier business. Huawei's Chief Technology Officer, Li Sanqi stated "don't get me wrong, I'd love to get into the U.S. market. Thirty percent, it's a high-value market. Today we face reality. We will focus on the rest of the world, which is a reasonably big enough and is growing significantly."
