April 25, 2013 - PRLog -- With just days until the 2012/13 conditional jockeys’ title race ends it really is all to play for with just a few winners separating Lucy Alexander (37), Brendan Powell Jnr (36) and Henry Brooke (34).

The trio will be hoping to follow in the footprints of the likes of AP McCoy, who took this title back in 1994/95, while I’m sure if you asked any of them they’d be happy to go on to achieve even half of what AP’s gone onto do.

The final day will be on Saturday 27th April, so there are six NH fixtures for the jockeys to find winners at and being it’s so tight you can expect them all, and the stables that back them, to go full out in seeing them over the line.

Of course, here at Trainers-Quotes.com we’ll be fully backing young Brendan Powell Jnr, our sponsored jockey, and after Cheltenham and Aintree Festival wins in the last month it’s already been a season to remember for our man.

Plus, with Brendan also plying his trade on the flat then this makes his achievement over the sticks this season even more special, while with the action on the level hotting up from next week and plenty of summer jumping on the horizon then Brendan won’t have any time to put his feet up.

Over the sticks Brendan’s figures to date read as 329 rides, 36 winners, while he’s finished fourth or better 141 times (43%) – not bad, hey? He’s also amassed £310k in total prize money and is showing a +£1.48 level stakes profit had you backed all his NH mounts this season.

Having spoken to Brendan today, he’s certainly going to give it a push with rides booked at Chepstow on Friday, and hopes to be either at Sandown or Market Rasen on Saturday. A lot will depend on what Lucy Alexander does up at Perth this Thursday and Friday.

It then all starts again on Sunday, so Brendan said he’ll still be riding mostly over the sticks until the jumping action quietens down then he’ll revert his attention to the flat – he’s been riding out a bit at Richard Hannon’s, and is hopeful of picking up other flat rides as the summer moves on.

Good Luck Brendan!
