DALLAS - April 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Core24 (http://www.core24inc.com/), a business resources company in Dallas that helps companies access exceptional business service providers in areas typically outsourced, is hosting a poker tournament with a purpose. “Poker for PTSD,” a community-wide fundraiser benefiting Heroes Project, will take place at 6:00 p.m., May 18, at The New Life Hardwood Floors Event Center and Showroom at 915 Slocum St. in Dallas.

Co-founded by Chris Kyle, a retired Navy SEAL sniper who died earlier this year, and Jason Kos, CEO of FITCO, Heroes Project is a non-profit organization designed to help veterans combat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) by providing gym equipment, installing home gyms, group fitness and life coaching. All proceeds raised from “Poker for PTSD” will be used to fund The Chris Kyle Gym, which will be installed at the Dave Roever Foundation, and is expected to serve over 1,200 veterans annually.

“The Dallas business community has always shown a great deal of support for the men and women who serve our country, and we are excited to provide this fun, yet purposeful opportunity to give back,” said Sunny Morris (http://www.core24inc.com/index.php/site/founder/), president and founder of Core24. “We’re hoping to raise $75,000 to make Chris Kyle’s vision of the continuous expansion of PTSD care a reality.”

In addition to the poker tournament, guests can enjoy TX Whiskey, Hall Wine, cold beer, fine cigars, food from local gourmet food trucks and live music by blues musician Holland K Smith.
