“Badass Christian: Generational Mysfunction” by Kyle Alexander shows how man’s traditions can negate the effects of God’s word

BATON ROUGE, La. – “Badass Christian: Generational Mysfunction” (ISBN 1478331232) is a thoughtful new Christian novel that strives to show how the traditions of man can negate the word of God. But as readers will learn, with God’s grace, everything can be all right.

“Badass Christian” follows Sugar and her life as a girl adopted at birth into a provincial Southern black religious family. Developing an identity that is flawed with hypocrisy due to observing and duplicating the behavior of the adults around her, Sugar finds herself withdrawing from her religious upbringing.

However, when she connects with Reverend Bebo, the local preacher whose fall from grace coincides with her spiritual crisis, the two of them embark on a journey of love they had no business beginning in the first place.

Told through eyes of a lifelong guru of the pew, “Badass Christian” works to peel back the curtain of small-town Protestantism while allowing readers to hear the voices of actual church congregants in a time when the plight of Christian leadership is frequently in the news.

Covering a wide range of emotions while presenting readers with a bit of Biblical wisdom, Alexander works to entertain readers while showing them that the grace of God is sufficient for a self-proclaimed “Badass Christian.”

“Badass Christian: Generational Mysfunction” is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.
