OnCell Announces Launch of Quest Mobile Scavenger Hunt Contest

PITTSFORD, N.Y. - April 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Mobile tour provider OnCell announces the launch of the Quest Mobile Scavenger Hunt Contest. This interactive, web-based contest will award Quest Mobile Scavenger Hunts, for one year, to all organizations who have garnered 500 votes or more from the public.

Quest creates an interactive mobile experience for visitors while using their own smartphones to guide themselves to ‘mystery’ destinations. The game combines elements of geo-caching, scavenger hunting and self-guided mobile touring. As visitors navigate their way to game destinations, they’ll be given clues to help them find their way. An embedded compass-like tool called the Destination Pointer guides their direction. Once the visitor arrives at the destination, the site or venue can quiz them on what they see or learn while they’re there.

The OnCell Quest contest will accept entries between April 24th at 8:00am Eastern time and May 1st at 11:59pm Eastern time. Public voting will begin May 2nd at 12:00am Eastern time and end May 15th at 11:59pm Eastern time. Participants will use their own marketing methods to encourage visitors, fans, friends, colleagues, staff members and others to vote for their venue via OnCell's contest page or OnCell’s Facebook page. Winners will be announced May 17th at 12:00pm Eastern time.

Each OnCell Quest, valued at $1200, will enable winning organizations to engage, educate and interact with their visitors using cutting-edge mobile technology.

Contest registrations are accepted on OnCell's contest page and requires contact information and a logo. Winners will be announced on May 17th, 2013.
