By: City and County of Swansea Ji, who was born in China in 1990, first appeared in New York City’s world-famous Carnegie Hall aged just 13. He’s also performed at the Louvre in Paris, the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow and London’s Royal Festival Hall. The Ty Hafan Gala concert will be held at the venue on May 4 when tenor Rhys Meirion and soprano Gwawr Edwards will perform with the Ariosa Singers in support of Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice. They’ll also be joined on stage by a 150-strong male voice choir. Cerys Matthews will be appearing live at the Brangwyn Hall on Friday 31 May.
