Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology Selects Mobile Simulation Solution

EXTON, Pa. - April 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Exton, Pa. (April 24, 2013) Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada recently selected a web-based mobile solution to expand the efforts of their simulation center. Ideal for on-the-go simulation training, this solution contains all components needed for recording and debriefing a simulation session, managing participants, scoring, and generating reports.

In SIAST’s simulated learning center, students learn through reality-based activities, practicing hands-on skills in a safe environment without putting actual patients at risk. They can then make observations through assessment and learn from mistakes to reduce the risk of adverse events happening during practice.  

The center at SIAST is comprised of a simulated hospital room, trauma room, video monitoring room, control rooms, and debriefing rooms. The institution even has an area that simulates an apartment which is used for paramedic training.

This simulation management solution is easy and quick to set up, and integrates with high-fidelity simulators.  When training experience is as realistic as possible, often involving true-to-life scenarios similar to those found in hospitals, learners hone their skills and are better prepared for actual practice.
