Mishal Kanoo signs DP World Supply Deal

BUR DUBAI, UAE - April 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Dubai, UAE – April 23, 2013: Kanoo Machinery, a member of The Kanoo Group secured an exclusive long-term supply deal with DP World which further strengthens business optimism and the growing alliance between two of the region’s leading companies. Mr. Mishal Kanoo, Deputy Chairman of The Kanoo Group together with Mr. Esam Khoori, Director-Procurement of DP World yesterday signed the agreement at The Kanoo Group main office in Bur Dubai.

DP World (one of the largest maritime terminal operators in the world) includes an exclusive bulk supply of Hyster lift truck spare parts from Kanoo Machinery - apart from their future expansion capabilities to offer other franchises like Perkins and Tennant, etc. as a sole distributor in the Middle East.

Mr. Nabil Qayed (Technical Director), Mr. Jamal Ahmed Al Kindi (Manager-Materials Management) and other procurement officials of DP World attended the event, in the presence of senior management members of The Kanoo Group and Kanoo Machinery.

In the opening ceremony, Mr. Mishal Kanoo stated that The Kanoo Group is privileged and honored to be associated with DP World and that this partnership can help make DP World become more successful – and that The Kanoo Group is proud to be a part of it.

Mr. Esam Khoori also commented that this strategic partnership is a great advantage with mutual benefits, which brings the right results from the right people and that this venture is something relatively new for DP World.

DP World does not have to keep any inventory of spare parts for machines, as this will be done by Kanoo Machinery premises and the parts required will be available 24/7, so efficiency and delivery time are greatly reduced, thus giving immense benefit to both parties.”
