SHINJUKU-KU, Japan - April 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Wahl & Case Announces Record Results at Third Year-End Closing

TOKYO, Japan (April 1, 2013) - Tokyo-based recruitment firm Wahl & Case today reported exceptional third-year results for 2012. The growing firm continued to deliver industry-leading performance despite uncertain economic times.

In 2012 Wahl & Case grew top line revenue significantly with the lion’s share of this growth coming from repeat business. The firm now boasts over 500 clients in a diverse range of sectors, with an even split between multinational companies operating in Japan and Japanese firms growing global organizations.

The people at Wahl & Case also grew in 2012, in multiple facets. Total headcount increased by 71% (excluding the Red Brick Ventures K.K. expansion) with most hires coming in the second half of the year, positioning the firm for rapid revenue growth in 2013. Notable hires included new consultants to spearhead two new sectors, consumer and industrial (hired through the firm’s global, top-tier MBA hiring program), an internal head of talent and organizational development, and a new director. Family-friendly policies encouraged the first utilization of the company’s maternity leave program, with more use of the program a certainty in 2013.

Staff-led initiatives gave rise to a premier event series for a number of professional groups: 2012 saw the continuation of the annual HR Summit, plus multiple networking sessions replete with cocktails for the accounting & finance community and the IT engineer community in Tokyo. Wahl & Case was again sponsor of the Economist’s Japan Summit, and sponsor for the 32-team, 800-player Wahl & Case Tokyo Metropolis League, Tokyo’s league of choice for fans of football (soccer).

The year also saw the firm invest in the creation of Red Brick Ventures, an angel investment and incubation platform to help create entrepreneurs in Japan, and launch of a full-fledged US subsidiary with a staff of five in San Francisco servicing mostly local, US-based ventures in consumer technology. In 2012 Wahl & Case consultants continued to garner recruitment industry awards and gain praise from clients and candidates alike for providing the highest levels of service in the recruitment industry, now on two continents.

Wahl & Case CEO Casey Wahl commented on the results: “This was a year of creation. We laid the initial foundations of a new company, a new US subsidiary, and several new business lines that will drive the company’s growth in the years to come, and we are very expectant of the scale these initiatives can reach. We also continued to extend our operational innovations, and strengthen that cultural focus that will make it very difficult for competitors to copy as we continue to overtake and outpace the marketplace. The hard, smart, insightful work of our team was wonderful throughout the year as we pursued these numerous opportunities.”
