Tapxi, Inc to Host Urban Delivery App Preview Party May 1

WASHINGTON - April 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Tapxi,Inc. is thrilled to announce the Urban Delivery App Preview Party is taking place on May 1 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Cause PhilanthroPub at 1926 9th Street Northwest, Washington, DC. The invite-only event will introduce local technologists, tastemakers, journalists and special guests to the DMV’s premier bike courier app and give them a chance to check out the service set to revolutionize deliveries in the district before its public launch.

Founded by Howard Law School grad Ron Cade and John Hopkins masters’ graduate Adrienne Sheares, Urban Delivery was crafted to compliment the on-the-go, metropolitan lifestyle of those living in the Capital. The service grants Washington-based iOS and Android users the ability to order anything a bike courier can carry, at anytime. A tech-savvy “room service for real life” the app can timely supply everything from dry cleaning to a last minute anniversary gift for a small delivery fee starting around $12.99.

To use, customers simply input their requested item and where it is to be delivered; once submitted an Urban Delivery courier is dispatched to buy and transport the item for the customer. Users can track their orders in real-time and even contact the driver if necessary. Urban Delivery drivers can pick up orders users have paid for advance or the user has the option of buying the product through the app.
