Follow on Google News | Green Apple Supply Celebrates Earth Day With Launch of New Logo and Annual Holiday E-CardIn honor of Earth Day, Green Apple Supply of Evergreen, Colorado, is launching a new company logo and a unique e-card initiative. Green Apple Supply is a nonprofit organization offering education about green living, as well as an online store (http://www.greenapplesupply.com/) “By utilizing economies of scale, wholesale purchasing power, and personal product experience, we endeavor to make it easier for anyone to purchase Earth-friendly products,” say Founders, Stephanie and Robert Tobor. “We are keeping overhead low and this is a non-profit effort. Products are sold as close to cost as we can. Why? Because we think it’s the right thing to do.” The redesign of the logo represents the beginning of many changes at Green Apple Supply. The fresh, crisp look of the logo will soon be complemented with an entire website revamp this summer. The changes come as the company responds to growing sales with increased website capabilities, such as the addition of a wholesale purchasing platform and the expansion of product information and metrics. The launch of the new logo is accompanied by the introduction of an annual e-card campaign educating Green Apple Supply supporters about the carbon footprint difference between sending a card via email or postal mail. As part of the effort, Green Apple Supply asserts that Earth Day will be its annual celebration of customers and supporters and stresses that its choice to email its annual holiday cards saves the equivalent of driving 524 miles, in terms of CO2 emissions. It is estimated that 1.5 billion Christmas cards are sent in the U.S. each year. If the same cards were sent via email instead, it would have the equivalent impact of removing 12,630 cars from the road. So while Green Apple Supply takes a moment on Earth Day to thank its loyal customers and supporters, it also creates awareness around the carbon footprint of holiday cards and the general process of sending “snail” mail.
