Porsche Will Be the Honored Marque at the 12th Annual Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival

They're especially excited to see Porsche being featured prominently as the Honored Marque at the 12th annual Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival & Concours d’Elegance, being held this year from October 25 through November 3. This is one of the largest motorsports enthusiast event weeks in the country, so it only makes sense that the two come together.

Porsche boasts more than 62 years of prestigious automotive history, and so it’s fitting that this event would celebrate the iconic automaker's contributions to the industry. The Festival’s president, Carolyn Vanagel, said, “With the focus on Porsche motorsport at the Savannah Speed Classic and Porsche classic cars highlighted at the Concours d’Elegance, we offer unique back-to-back opportunities for Porsche enthusiasts, owners and collectors to immerse themselves in the heritage of their favorite brand.”

The Motoring Festival draws so much acclaim and attention in part because it’s one of a small number of national automotive events that combine collecting, racing, and lifestyle activities in one week of automotive celebration. This makes it an ideal venue to showcase the evolution of Porsche vehicles, especially with the iconic 911 celebrating its 50th year.

The Concourse d’Elegance on Nov. 3 will feature two judged classes exclusive to Porsche: pre-911s and post-356s. Additionally, a Concourse class of racing vehicles will be on display and judged at the Savannah Speed Classic from October 25-27. Finally, the Car Club Jamboree will happen on Nov. 2, and the Motoring Midway will take place November 2-3. Porsche will be represented throughout.
