Signs Now Boca Raton Celebrates Earth Day with "Green Initiative" Featuring New Products & Services

BOCA RATON, Fla. - April 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Companies are becoming increasingly aware of the need to use environmentally friendly products and processes in their daily business year-over-year and Signs Now Boca Raton is utilizing the Earth Day holiday to capitalize and bring attention to this trend within the sign industry. As of April 22, 2013, Signs Now Boca Raton will require that all of its product and material offerings consist of eco-friendly alternatives for the company’s environmentally conscious and aware customers.

Incorporating recycled materials along with materials that can serve another purpose at the end of their lifecycle is gaining more traction through the sign industry. The concept of re-purposing materials fits with building environmentally conscious systems and reducing the amount of overall waste in a project.

Some of the more exciting “green” products Signs Now Boca Raton has introduced to its customers this past year, include:

·         BiOflex material is a flexible substrate which is available in sizes up to 16’4”. Bioflex in landfill conditions (darkness, high heat, moisture and lack of oxygen) attracts microbes that break down the PVC’s. Bioflex also contains no toxic materials and is tear, fade and fungus resistant.

·         Enviroboard MR is a revolutionary new sign board which is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified and is percent recyclable.

·         Aurora Specialty Textiles offers the “Weaves of Green” fabric collection. These fabrics are composed of 100 percent post-consumer recycled polyester. And by participating in their FabRecycle Program, we help to keep used polyester fabrics out of landfills.

·         Ink manufacturers are offering improved UV Curable, Eco-Sol and Low Solvent inks for digital printers.  Our industry is now capable of offering Latex inks which are virtually VOC free.
